PLANNING YOUR JOURNEY TO CENTRAL HALL WESTMINSTER

Central Hall Westminster is a central London conference and entertainment venue on Storey’s Gate, next door to the QEII Conference Centre and across the road from Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. (Central Hall is also a Methodist Church, opened in 1912 as a monument to mark the centenary of John Wesley’s death.)

Central Hall Westminster is just 5-10 minute walk from Westminster Underground Station, served by the Jubilee, Circle and District lines.

You can also walk from St James’ Park Underground Station (5-10 minutes, served by the Circle and District lines) and Victoria Station (15-20 minutes, served by the Victoria, Circle and District lines).

> ARRIVING BY MAINLINE RAILWAY (VIA UNDERGROUND, WALKING OR TAXI)

Westminster Underground Station is less than 30 minutes travel time from all London mainline railway stations. (Estimated travel time by Underground: 10-15 minutes from Charing Cross, London Bridge, Victoria and Waterloo stations; 25 minutes from Euston, Kings Cross, Liverpool Street and Paddington stations.)

You can walk to Central Hall (or use the Underground) from Victoria Railway Station (15-20 minutes walk), Charing Cross Railway Station (15-20 minutes walk) and Waterloo Railway Station (20-25 minutes walk).

Buses passing the door include: 11, 24, 148 and 211.

Buses stopping within a few minutes walk include: 3, 12, 53, 53X, 87, 88, 109, 159 and 453.

There is also parking adjacent to the building on Tothill Street and Matthew Parker Street.

London’s black taxi cabs have a light on the front displaying the word ‘TAXI’ and can be hailed in the street.

Travelling by taxi can be expensive and may be slow depending on the level of congestion (especially slow during commuter hours).

London has 5 airports within reasonable travel time of London by train, underground or car (please check the journey times to London for your preferred airport and method of travel):

  • London City Airport is located in East London, close to Canary Wharf, ExCel London and The O2 arena. It is easily accessible by road and by public transport, with a fast Docklands Light Railway service linking to London’s Underground and national rail stations.
