POST-EVENT ‘THANK YOU’ EMAIL
Dear CRE MeetUp attendee,
We are now back after a busy period on the road delivering the CRE MeetUp events in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and London.
We really enjoyed meeting so many enthusiastic colleagues working in the field of admissions, pupil/student recruitment, alumni relations and development.
On behalf of Andrew, Simon, Ryan, myself and the rest of the team, thank you for coming and for your participation and contribution.
It was a pleasure to meet you and everyone else who attended.
Overall we were very pleased with how the first meeting went and we have been delighted by the positive feedback. But as I said at the end of the meeting, we are still exploring the best way to structure these events and we are keen to adapt our approach to ensure everyone gains as much as possible from attending, and leaves feeling their time was well spent and they got good value.
Of course in such a short time we cannot go into great depth on any one topic, and we want to continue to cover a range of topics and ideas over the 2-3 hours so that everyone learns something new or has the chance to reflect on what they are doing.
However we have been studying your feedback as we plan the next event in late April/early May.
As a result, ‘tweaks’ to the programme for the next CRE MeetUp will include:
1) Less topics, a bit more depth.
2) More case studies to illustrate best practice.
3) Time for an ‘open forum’/Q&A for everyone to share questions/issues/problems and also tips and ideas.
4) Some ‘homework’ for these who want it, to do between sessions.
5) Last but not least… tea/coffee/biscuits available on arrival and during a break in the middle of the programme!
We will probably have to raise the price a bit for the next session to cover costs, but as an “original attendee” we plan to keep the pricing pretty much the same for you for the second meeting.
I know you are keen to see the notes from the meeting, we are just working on the handout (with the slide content etc) and will email you on Thursday with a link to download the PDF.
