This will be an unmissable day for any marketing professional or senior manager working in the education sector with responsibility for communications activity and strategy.
Traditional methods for advertising and promoting Schools, Colleges and Universities to prospective pupils and students, and their parents and advisers, both in the UK and abroad are becoming increasingly ineffective, time consuming and difficult to analyse for return on investment.
The day-to-day pressure from sales people to place print advertising in local and national press and the temptation to continue spending large amounts on glossy education directories and guides (and their poorly developed online equivalents) should be resisted.
There is still a place in any education marketing plan for some advertising in the press and selected directories and guides and other media activity backed by communications materials, fairs, events etc; however the Internet and electronic communications have caused a paradigm shift in education marketing and those Schools, Colleges and Universities that do not recognise this phenomena and adapt their marketing activity to fully exploit new communications channels will lose ground against competitors and waste valuable resources.
With up to 95% of pupils and students using the Internet, social networks, email, IM and SMS, and with increasing numbers of parents also utilising online channels in their business and personal lives, there is now tremendous opportunity for Student Admissions Officers & Registrars, Marketing & PR Communications Managers, Development Directors and Senior Management in Education to put budgets to more effective use with significantly more targeted advertising and promotional activity that can be tracked, analysed and assessed on a daily, hourly and even minute by minute basis for impact and ultimately for return on investment.
Those responsible for marketing their School, College or University can quickly learn about these channels, become familiar with the benefits and features available to them, understand how to design campaigns utilising these technologies and allocate resources appropriately by attending this one day ‘Everything You Need To Know’ training seminar on Education Marketing & PR Online.
The insights, examples and case studies will be presented in an educational marketing context with relevant examples, covering all the key communications channels and marketing opportunities available to Schools, Colleges and Universities online, including: Emails, Websites, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Google Advertising, Social Networks & Social Network Advertising (Facebook etc), Communications Platforms (Twitter etc).
We have kept the seminar price as low as possible, we are limiting the number of people attending each seminar to encourage interaction, and we are offering a choice of themes to ensure the training seminar is as relevant as possible.
The overview (including top tips and techniques) provided during the “How To Advertise & Market Your School, College Or Education Organisation Online” 1 day seminar and the support materials supplied to all those attending will be invaluable to those who are relatively new to online marketing for education and also beneficial to those who are already experienced in using one or more channels and are already using internet and email marketing techniques to promote their institution to students at home and abroad.
This Pupil/Student Recruitment Online training seminar will be of particular interest to:
Multiple bookings are welcome – Education Marketing & PR and/or Senior Management teams may also find attendance as a group helpful as an “away day” focusing on re-designing their marketing plan to fully embrace the potential for online marketing and email technologies.
This Education Marketing Online Seminar will provide an overview of all aspects of education marketing online, introducing the different channels and techniques available to Schools, Colleges & Universities wishing to exploit the Internet and email communications, including top tips and techniques and relevant case studies and examples set in an educational context.

In summary the seminar will focus on providing a checklist of Internet marketing techniques which if consistently applied (in-house or using an external specialist agency) can have a significant impact on registrations at relatively low cost, delivering a higher ROI.
Information will be clearly presented in a non-technical way.
Please arrive between 0930 and 1000 for registration and refreshments. We will begin at 1000. There will be two breaks for refreshments during the day, with a working lunch. We will finish at 1615.
